November was "Rotary Foundation Month"
Many clubs were recognized for their support of The Rotary Foundation and PolioPlus at the Foundation Celebration in Midland on November 18. Many thanks to Cindy Fisher and Jean Jones for making this event successful.
District Foundation Chair Katie Salter and her Foundation team sent several excellent emails during November about how you can continue “Making a Difference” with your contributions to our Foundation.

People of Action. The District Governor's "People of Action Citation" is now available for all members of Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact Clubs. You can download/view the qualification criteria. The clubs with the highest levels of POA Citation attainment will win a prize the the District Conference.
District Governor candidates sought - Nomination deadline extended. Because of scheduling conflicts we are unable to hold the interviews for the candidates in December. Therefore, we have extended the deadline for your application to December 31. If you think you are the person to continue to lead District 5730 forward, you might be a great candidate to serve as District Governor for 2020-2021. Instructions on how to nominate someone from your club are at http://rotary5730.org/SitePage/nominating-a-district-governor on the District 5730 website. Nomination packets are due by December 31. Interviews will be in late January or early February.
District 5730 Disaster Response - Thank you for your continuing support of the many humanitarian crises. The end of the year is almost here - that means it's time to catch up on all your charitable contributions. The Rotary Foundation is one of the best in the world.
RYLA 2018 Dates Announced: June 4-8 at Plains Baptist Camp. Early bird rate of $300 per camper applies. Find several top-notch sophomores and juniors in your high schools and treat them to a week of fun leadership development.
District Conference planning is underway. June 8-10 at the new Embassy Suites in Amarillo. Friday will be Rotary Night at "Texas" in Palo Duro Canyon.
