When children in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other countries, are immunized for Polio, their little fingers are dyed with a purple dye to identify them as vaccinated. We dye pinkies in donor countries to show support for the Global Polio Eradication Effort and to collect donations in support of the cause.
